1. Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania

Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa standing at 19,340ft, and is located on Tanzania’s border with Kenya. The exhilarating hike up Kilimanjaro is not for the faint-hearted, as the trek is long across the Shira plateau and through the Grand Barranco Canyon to the peak. Most trips to Kilimanjaro will begin with a flight into Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO). Most guides will either opt to meet you here or in the nearby city of Arusha.

The best time to climb Kilimanjaro is from December to mid-March and mid-June to the end of October.

2. Mont Blanc, France

is the highest mountain in the Alps and Western Europe, rising 4,807.81 m (15,774 ft) above sea level.. It’s covered in snow and ice all year, so you will be using ice picks, crampons and need alpine skills. The most popular climbing route to the summit of Mont Blanc is the Goûter Route, which typically takes two days.

The best time to go to Mont Blanc is mid-June until mid-September.

3. Mount Everest, Nepal

Mount Everest is the most famous mountain peak on earth, mainly because it is the highest, standing at 29,035ft above sea level. Mount Everest attracts many climbers, including highly experienced mountaineers. There are two main climbing routes, one approaching the summit from the southeast in Nepal (known as the "standard route") and the other from the north in Tibet.

The best time to visit Everest Base Camp is late-May to mid-Sep.

4. Mount Aconcagua, Argentina

Mount Aconcagua is the highest mountain in the Americas, the highest outside Asia,and the highest in the Southern Hemisphere with a summit elevation of 6,961 metres (22,838 ft).

Aconcagua is bounded by the Valle de las Vacas to the north and east and the Valle de los Horcones Inferior to the west and south. The mountain and its surroundings are part of the Aconcagua Provincial Park. The mountain has a number of glaciers.

Best time to climb Aconcagua is from November to March.

5. Mount Khuiten, Mongolia

s the highest peak with 4,356 m above sea level and a permanent snow cap in the Altai Range, the international border between China and Mongolia runs across its summit point. It is also the highest point of Mongolia and Altay Prefecture in Western China. Mount Khuiten attracts both serious mountaineers, as well as trekkers.

When to climb? June through August is best.

6. The Andes, Peru

the longest continental mountain range in the world, forming a continuous highland along the western edge of South America. The range is 6,999 km (4,349 mi) long, 200 to 700 km (124 to 435 mi) wide (widest between 18°S - 20°S latitude), and has an average height of about 4,000 m (13,123 ft). The Andes extend from north to south through seven South American countries: Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina.

The Inca Trail winds across the Andes mountain range in Peru to Macchu Picchu, one of the most beautiful archaeological wonders of the world.

The best time to visit Peru is between May and October .

7. Mount Fuji, Japan

is the highest mountain in Japan, standing 3,776.24 m (12,389.2 ft). It is the second-highest volcano located on an island in Asia (after Mount Kerinci on the island of Sumatra), and seventh-highest peak of an island on Earth. From July-August, thousands of climbers attempt to make the eight-hour ascent up the mountain. Mount Fuji is also considered sacred in the ancient practice of Shinto, and has impressive shrines around its base.

December is the best season to see Mount Fuji.

8. Denali, Alaska

Denali is the highest mountain peak in North America, with a summit elevation of 20,310 feet (6,190 m) above sea level. Denali is the third most prominent and third most isolated peak on Earth, after Mount Everest and Aconcagua. Located in the Alaska Range in the interior of the U.S. state of Alaska, Denali is the centerpiece of Denali National Park and Preserve.

The best time for climbers of all levels from the months of May and June, before the threat of avalanches become too severe.

9. Annapurna, Nepal

It is the tenth highest mountain in the world at 8,091 metres (26,545 ft) above sea level and is well known for the difficulty and danger involved in its ascent.On completion of the hike, climbers are rewarded with spectacular blazes of orange as the sun rises, casting the white Himalayan peaks in a fiery glow.

For the Annapurna Circuit, October and November or April and May are widely considered to be the best times for climbing.

Orizaba is an inactive stratovolcano, the highest mountain in Mexico[1] and the third highest in North America, after Denali of Alaska in the United States and Mount Logan of Canada. Pico de Orizaba is also the highest volcanic summit in North America. It rises 5,636 metres (18,491 ft) above sea level in the eastern end of the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt,Several routes of differing technical difficulty lead to the summit of Orizaba. The easiest route requires no previous mountaineering experience, while another popular one requires only basic glacier climbing skills.

The best time to visit Orizaba in Mexico is from March until November.
